Vintage: 2018 was an excellent vintage in Coonawarra, producing an outstanding crop of Shiraz fruit, with intense colour, lively flavours, and excellent levels of ripeness.
Oak Maturation: Selected parcels were maturated for an average of 18 months in predominantly French oak barrels before blending, adding complexity and suppleness.
Cellaring Potential: Will age gracefully for up to 15 years.
Colour: Deep red with purple hues.
Nose: A complex array of concentrated fruit and oak maturation notes. Vibrant berries with hints of peppery spice. A small amount of whole bunch Shiraz and Viognier were included in the fermentation, contributing subtle fragrance.
Palate: A richly layered palate of displays lifted aromas and flavours of mulberries, blackberries, violets, and spice, framed with finely polished tannins.
Food Matching: Texas-style smoked brisket, steak with pepper sauce or some aged cheddar cheese.
