Vintage: Coonawarra received good winter rains, which set up the vines well for the growing season. Temperatures during the growing season were warm with minimal heat spikes, the steady temperatures continued through vintage. There was minimal vintage rains, which reduced any pressure of disease.
Colour: Medium Crimson, with med light purple hue
Nose: Quintessential Shiraz aromas of blue fruits and spices.
Palate: Vibrant raspberry and black
plum with a touch of chocolate and
peppery spice. Subtle vanillin oak
characters with soft, lingering.
Oak Maturation: This wine was
matured in a combination of older
French and American oak barrels for
two and a half months.
Food Matching: Pairs beautifully
with matured cheddar or parmesan,
matches well with dark chocolate
